Dr. Muro was born and raised in Mesa. He spent nearly 20 years in healthcare, 13 of them in radiology at a major hospital system, before graduating from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2018.
His focus is pain management, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy and sports medicine. As he puts it, mainstream medicine excels at saving lives, emergency care and surgery, and naturopathic medicine excels at prevention, optimizing health and treating chronic conditions. He's trained in functional medicine, like all of our doctors.
In his last year of medical school he hit a wall. Between a full course load, a family of four and a business, he was running on empty, and bloodwork showed he was low on nearly everything. Hormone therapy brought him back, and pairing hormones with regenerative injections has shaped his practice ever since.
What drives him goes back to his own family. Both of his children were born with a cleft lip, and his son with a cleft lip and palate. Years of surgeries and specialist visits showed him what it means when a physician takes the time to listen, and that's the doctor he set out to be.

I met with Dr Muro today for my initial appointment and he was so thorough, very informative, non judgmental and never felt rushed. He literally went thru line by line and discussed every test.
